Rules - Short version

Pike fishing: News for 2011, June 17-19, Storuman
Competition fee: 100 Euro (80 Euro for package + 20 Euro as first price to the Pike Champion)

Free seating in boats:
No drawing for boats this Year. Due to the fact that every boat has a controller we can allow free seating. Just choose a fishing mate.

Two sessions a 3 h (as previous years)
The two sessions are 3 h each and starts with a signal, and the water may not be fished until the signal is given. Competitors may have two rods assembled, but is only allowed to fish one rod at a time.

Methods
Spinfishing or flyfishing, with maximum one three hook (treble-hook) or three single hooks.
Barbed hooks are allowed and the fish must be hooked in the head area in front of the gill cover.

Points for pike
The competitor must net the fish without assistance and give it immidiately to the controller, who check the bait and fill in the protocole.
1 cm pike=1 point. Only pike, minimum size 40 cm, is eligable fish.
After the session, both the controller and competitor must sign the protocole. Life west is recommended.
The organisers do not take any responcibility for accidents. Fly fishing

Biggest perch: A special price goes to the biggest perch caught during the competition 
Insurance and safety
Every competitor is responcible for there own insurance and safety, during the Lapland Fishing Festival. Floating device must be used during all spin fishing, if you don´t bring your own, you must use the standard life west that is supported by the organizers. Those are not as comfortable as modern floating device, so we strongly recommend that you bring your own.
