How to get there

There are several airports in Västerbotten County and all of them are located in between 1–1 ½ hours flight from Stockholm. The communications with Stockholm is very good with several flights per day to and from Umeå and Skelleftå. If you want to visit the inner part of Lapland the airports of Lycksele, Vilhelmina or Storuman may be a better choice. Continuing from the airports the best alternative is to take a rental car and then drive to the chosen destination. The roads and the access to the wilderness are good and traffic intensity is very low and relaxed.
